The four things we measure before a panel ships
Fit, flatness, magnet height and airflow. Dull work, and the reason a panel stops rattling.
Every panel that leaves the workshop has been on the reference chassis: a working machine we keep on the bench and put nothing else on.
Fit
The panel goes on and comes off five times. If it needs a fingernail to start, the outline is wrong.
Flatness
A straight edge across the diagonal. More than 0,3 mm of bow and the corners lift, which is what people describe as "it rocks".
Magnet height
Each of the four pads is checked with a depth gauge. A magnet sitting 0,2 mm proud is enough to hold the panel off the chassis at one corner.
Airflow
For vented panels, an anemometer at the intake with and without the panel. We publish the open area, but the number that matters is how much airflow you lose: under 6 % on every vented design we sell.
